Regent - 'Jacob' Jacket - Houndstooth Wool 340g - Dugdale Bros.
Description
The 'Jacob' jacket is a brown houndstooth blazer with a three-button, single-breasted construction. Named after the Jacob Sheep (a favourite of Jason's) the jacket is cut from a woollen cloth that is processed from sheep to mill without ever being dyed. Not only does this enhance its environmental credentials, the result is a wonderful 12oz cloth, that whilst heavy and structured is light enough to still hang beautifully. If maintained well, the cloth and jacket will last a lifetime. The houndstooth pattern and woollen texture gives this jacket has a strong 1950s Ivy League identity, and is reminiscent of preppy American brands such as Ralph Lauren. As with any Ivy League look, this jacket will look excellent with a stone coloured pair of chinos, or a lighter wash of denim, and a pair of loafers.
All Regent jackets are cut from a block that has been refined over many years, and this jacket retains the key features of our classic shape. The side seams are tailored to be a touch narrow for a contemporary, but comfortable silhouette. The slightly roomier than typical armholes allow for an ease of movement, but are compensated by slim arms and a shorter jacket length to maintain the smart, modern look. If you already have a Regent jacket then take your usual size, or consider sizing up if intending to style with knitwear.
