Regent - 'Goldfinch' Jacket - Ginger Flecked Tweed - Lovat Mill
Regent - 'Goldfinch' Jacket - Ginger Flecked Tweed - Lovat Mill
Description
Regent's 'Goldfinch' jacket is a brown tweed blazer with a two-button, single-breasted construction. Inspired by Jason's youth where he would help his mother sort through clothing donations to charity shops, and his maternal Irish roots, the Goldfinch is a jacket with a distinct vintage, country feel. Cut from a hardy tweed the flecks of ginger and green which subtly run throughout give the jacket a lighter appearance and mean this jacket will pair nicely with many styles of trouser. The jacket has slightly wider lapels than are typical on Regent jackets and the patch pockets only enhance the relaxed, nostalgic feel. Though it will work nicely with dark denim or other tailored trousers, this jacket has a matching pair of Regent trousers, waistcoat and flat cap (all sold separately) for a complete country look that would not look out of place at a nostalgia event such as Goodwood Revival.
All Regent jackets are cut from a block that has been refined over many years, and (slightly wider lapels aside) this jacket retains the key features of our classic shape. The side seams are tailored to be a touch narrow for a contemporary, but comfortable silhouette. The slightly roomier than typical armholes allow for an ease of movement, but are compensated by slim arms and a shorter jacket length to maintain the smart, modern look. If you already have a Regent jacket then take your usual size, or consider sizing up if intending to style with knitwear.
