Description

The RoToTo Merino Wool Ragg Socks are a substantial cold-weather pair inspired by classic outdoor and hiking socks, combining traditional texture with the thoughtful Japanese construction RoToTo is known for. Made in Japan, they are knitted from a wool-rich blend using a specially developed thick-gauge melange yarn for a warm, textured finish.

Two strands of thick merino wool yarn are twisted together before being twisted again, creating a fuller, more durable yarn with plenty of natural character. The socks are then knitted on rare low-gauge machines, giving them their chunky appearance and comfortable, slightly rugged feel.

With 87% wool, they provide excellent heat retention while also benefiting from merino wool’s natural moisture-management properties. Acrylic, polyester and polyurethane are incorporated to improve durability, stretch and shape retention through regular wear.

Contrasting details at the cuff and toe add a playful pop of colour to the otherwise classic ragg-sock look. Warm enough for everyday winter wear and practical enough for camping, walking and light hiking, they are an ideal pair for boots and heavier footwear.
