Barnes & Moore - Submariner Belt - Oak Bark Conker Leather with Nickel

Description

A classic belt from Barnes and Moore made to their typically high standards. The leather itself is oak bark tanned using traditional methods in Devon and only premium cuts from the 'butt' of the hide is used. This not only ensures strength and durability but prevents stretching - the leather is naturally stiff, but will gradually soften over time. This particular leather is full-grain, this means each belt will retain some unique natural marking which only adds to the character. It takes over 12 months to produce pieces of leather this way and leather still tanned using this method is rare. However, it results in a unique patina that is hard to find and of very high-quality. 

The belt is fastened with a solid nickel buckle which has also been handmade using traditional sand casting methods. The leather is 40mm wide and 5mm thick which is perfect for more casual trousers such as chinos or jeans.

Comes complete with a 5ml bottle of neatsfoot oil used to condition the leather and a reusable 12 oz natural cotton drawstring bag.
