The Regent Vintage Exchange

The Regent Vintage Exchange

At Regent, we have always believed in buying well, repairing, and re-wearing, giving quality pieces the long life they deserve. And now, we’re taking that belief one step further with our new initiative: The Vintage Exchange. It is a simple circular system that helps you pass on quality clothing and breathe new life into your wardrobe, your local high street and the independent businesses that make it unique.

And what better time to give than Christmas? As the year draws to a close, we start to take stock of what we’ve gained, what we’ve given, and what we might carry forward. This winter, Regent is inviting you to bring that philosophy full circle. Christmas can so easily become a time of excess, but small, thoughtful exchanges are what keep independent shops and the communities around them thriving. Every visit, every conversation and every decision to buy well helps sustain places like Regent.

How does it work?

We are now accepting vintage, heritage, and high-quality pieces, particularly jackets, shirts, and T-shirts from timeless makers such as Barbour, Woolrich, and Ralph Lauren. We are not currently taking jeans, shoes, or trousers, but we’d love to see garments with character and pieces that deserve another chapter. You can also explore our two full rails of vintage finds  in store, full of one of a kind pieces that you won't find anywhere else. If you fancy browsing what other vintage gems we have, check out our 73 Vintage Instagram. It's the perfect way to help you find your next piece.

The simplest way to begin is to WhatsApp Jason on +44 7543 446198, or you can message the chat function on the website. Bring your items in, and we’ll handle everything from there. Once they sell, the entire profit becomes store credit for you to spend however, and whenever, you choose.

We have a great range of gifts perfect for Christmas, from our range of Chorrito’s hot sauces to Niwaki Secateurs, and softer, cosier items such as our Regent socks and scarves. If you want to share the love even further, or simply save it for a rainy day, you can also exchange your store credit for a Regent gift card. The beauty is there are no postage labels, no listings, and no hassle. We offer a fair exchange and make a little more space in your wardrobe.

At its heart, The Vintage Exchange is about extending the life of well-made clothing and giving good materials another lease of life. It is a small act of defiance in a world of fast-fashion, and a celebration of craftmanship that lasts. Every exchange helps keep the high street vibrant and supports the local makers and small businesses. Your old jacket might become someone else’s favourite piece, or your traded shirt could be worn for another decade. Sustainability doesn’t have to be complicated, it often just takes a little bit of care and thought.

And at a time of year when giving takes centre stage, The Vintage Exchange offers a slower, more meaningful way to shop. Your Regent credit can become a thoughtful gift, a contribution towards something long-lasting, or simply a way to treat yourself while supporting the places that matter most. We have recently introduced our Christmas hampers and these be a perfect use of exchange credit. It is an approach that reflects the true spirit of the season and helps keep your local high street alive.

This is Regent’s answer to the second-hand movement with craftsmanship at its heart. There are no algorithms and no endless scrolling - instead a simple conversation. We believe that clothes carry stories and the Vintage Exchange keeps those stories alive. Jason is always happy to chat on WhatsApp or in-store to guide you through the process and help you find your next favourite piece. Together, we can keep quality alive, support the high street, and build a slower, more thoughtful way to dress and to give.
