Named after the Metisse motorcycle company — and in celebration of our new motorcycle range — Regent’s Metisse honours famed motocross riders Derek and Don Rickman, who founded Metisse in 1959. Suavely teal in colour, its 100% wool fabric boasts an overcheck pattern of orange, yellow and navy, producing an unusual, singular yet subtle, highly characterful suit. Three button in design, it features a single vent with handy, slanted flap pockets and welt breast pocket for an understatedly streamlined look: there simply isn’t a suit quite like it — it won’t garishly turn heads so much as artfully tease the attentions of style connoisseurs in your direction. Just as the Metisse company is renowned for a history of pioneering engine design, the Matisse suit is something of a pioneering engine itself, and, with a working button, two-button tab and royal navy blue lining, don’t be surprised if you start hankering for a pair of leather goggles and the open road to start an adventure in the Metisse yourself. Regent suits have a slim yet comfortable silhouette for a contemporary look that is at home in the boardroom as it is at a bar. The jacket has a slightly narrower lapel, remaining slim through the sleeve and retaining a subtle shape in the side seams. This fit is mirrored in the trousers which are generous in the waist but slightly narrower through the thigh: our trousers have unfinished bottoms so as to be tailored to your leg length.
