YMC Size Guide
YMC products are designed with a fuller size and a boxier, more neutral silhouette: they are not tight-fitting garments, in general. This means that you could hop down a size if that was the look you were after, or you didn't like the contemporary boxy look so much.
YMC chinos have a bit of stretch to them, so you could go down if you want a skinnier, narrower look. Otherwise they are true to size.
It’s worth noting that, in general, if the garment you’re buying is a big investment and you’re sitting between sizes then it’s worth erring on the side of caution and getting a slightly larger size, so that you can always fit it. There’s nothing more likely to put you off wearing something day in, day out if it’s always slightly too small or tight.
