My wife thinks I’ve been transformed, my business colleagues do a double take when I walk into the room and even my pals are beating a path to their door to get fitted for suits and jackets and I had always been burdened with what tailors would refer to as the over nourished look!

The task of finding a good tailor can be the work of many years. I have had numerous unsatisfactory experiences. From old fashioned London tailors, to chaps who come to your office, to the high street version of made-to-measure. In various ways, none of these quite fit the bill. Finding someone who can interpret in cloth what you have in your mind is not easy. Many simply do not have the right block to suit what you want, some simply ignore what you want because they feel they know best. others do not have the experience to properly construct a good suit. What a relief after all this time to uncover Jason at his stall at my local Christmas fayre. After having bought one of his off-the-peg tweed jackets, it was obvious that here was someone who knew how to cut a jacket. Great attention to detail. If his off-the-peg range is that good, then it stands to reason that his made-to-measure is of the highest quality. It is. Since then, Jason has made up a whole range of suits, trousers, jackets and shirts for me. Everything has been spot on. Just what I wanted. It such a relief to finally find a tailor who can understand what his clients really want and turn that into a perfect finished garment. Jason is not scared of using his vast experience to steer his customers in a certain direction when he feels this can improve the overall design, feel, or utility. It is worth trusting his advice. Jason sees the things that I would not have considered and encourages me to try options I would not have thought of. Every time I visit the tailor now, I can feel reassured that I will be happy with the result. I always am. This is the closest to bespoke you can get in the world of made-to-measure.

A wonderful 'regent' anicdote...We were in Guilford attending the wedding of a Salisbury couple (Steve was wearing his suit), the groom was in was in one of your suits and so was another guest - the three of them were each showing and comparing 'features' - buttonholes/linings/lapels etc! Each suit was very different - slim Dan in nipped in jacket and drainpipe trousers, steve in brown stripes and the groom (Dean) in a dark, sombre suit and they all looked great. Us 'other halves' wished we'd captured the moment on camera but unfortunately missed it. Thanks to you they are developing an expensive shopping habit! They all recommend your services and suits.

I first met Jason and Will at Newbury racecourse where together we judged the best dressed gentlemen at the Hennessy meeting. I really admired their clothing and products. Following my introduction to Regent Tailoring whilst at Newbury Racecourse I arranged an appointment for Jason to visit me at my home. I have had many bespoke suits made for me in the past but Jason persuaded me that I should let him make a suit for me. I have been very pleased with the result and have ordered more suits. They suits are well cut and of the finest quality. Jason has a great eye for detail and offers an excellent service that is very convenient, especially for someone who has a busy schedule like myself.

With the shooting season fast approaching I realised that I was in need of a new pair of breeks. I was fortunate to learn about Regent Tailoring who are local to me in Salisbury and saved me a trip to London. Jason was very helpful and was happy to use my own tweed to make my new plus fours. I brought along my favourite old pair of breeks and Jason was able to copy the fit to create a fantastic new pair in just six weeks which I was able to pick up at my own convenience from their shop.

Having first met the team at Newbury Races Jason and Will have been nothing but brilliant and helpful in helping me to obtain the best out of their products. Out of the wide range of materials on offer Will and I picked out two suits and an overcoat. No more than six weeks gone by and I received everything and was very impressed with the quality of them. I've always wanted a classic suit to wear at the Cheltenham Festival - I've only missed one day there in over 20 years - but most tailors don't give me the confidence to make that purchase. It was my wife who met you at Newbury Races in late November - she bought me a few nice nick-nacks, particularly some stunning socks - and on the basis of that we visited your shop in Salisbury in early December; and then made an appointment to visit you in January. I have just got the suit - perfect timing - and we (my wife and I) are both absolutely delighted with it. It fits very well indeed - which is a tribute to your skills, especially as post-Christmas I was carrying a bit of extra weight: but you allowed for this and what a fantastic result. A couple of friends have admired it and I'm sure you will have a visit from at least one of them - and we will be long-term customers I am sure (with a good week's betting we may be back again very soon!)

Just to let you know, the new denim jacket you made for me was at the same high standard as the others. The colour choice was perfect, also the black lining is spot on ( your choice ) and the fit is just as I require. As a young man I had all my suits and jackets made-to-measure but found wide variation in cut even with the same tailor, and also seemed to follow out of date styling. However the jackets you have made for me all have the same cut and I appreciate your suggestions about styling, such as different colour stitching on button holes. Thank you for your good service and I look forward to my next visit in the not too distant future.

I knew that I wanted to use a local tailor to make the Morning suit for my wedding but being a fairly high profile event I had concerns about using someone outside of London. Little did I know, when I found Regent Tailoring, that the quality and finish of the finished product would exceed anything I would normally expect to find in Savile Row. Hello, I was at the New Forest Show yesterday and visited your stall and was very impressed. The lovley mens clothes, the cravats, shirts, boating jackets and the crombie style velvet collor coat. I especialy loved the chelsea boots; beautiful quality nice toe shape and tall boots so your trousers don't get caught. And the two good looking sales gents looked so smart just like models and were very charming and profesional, I was with my boss she said what brillant clothes they were too. I will try and visit your shop soon as I only live in Bournemouth. People like writing to complain but I think its important too let people know that they do a good job .
